* He has probably never lived in a house before so will need help with house training and given time to adjust to home life.

* Roy is a 10 year old grey and white male collie.
* Roy is completely blind but he gives the best cuddles!
* He needs a loving home for his golden years.
* He is good with children of all ages and has lived with cats all his life.
* Roy isn't very confident on a lead, but this is because he cannot see where he is going, not because he is scared.
* Please try and give Roy the best retirement home he can have.
23-10-11 FOSTERER UPDATE
* Roy is a handsome well behaved mature dog.
* He loves people and always comes when his name is called and is easily guided by voice.
* He is living in harmony with gentle large and small dogs who don't react if he accidentally bumps into them.
* Visitors of all ages, and people outside, have all been greeted gently and with confidence.
* He is always ready with a waggy tail and cuddles when my teenage daughter returns from school. (Revision versus cuddles with Roy no contest!)
* It has taken a little while for Roy to find and remember his way around our home and garden, but he is gaining confidence every day.
* Any adoptive home will need not too many steps, no access to ponds etc and be uncluttered, so that Roy can be safely independent moving around the home.
* Surely this perfect gentleman of a dog, with so much love to give, deserves a peaceful safe and loving home where he can live in love and luxury for his golden years?

* Tye is a lovely 2 year old male collie.
* He has a beautiful red and white coat.
* He was given up by his previous owner for not showing any interest whatsoever in working live stock and because of this was going to be shot.
* He chases cars but with the right guidance he will soon learn the ropes.
* He is good with other dogs so could be homed with resident dogs or as an only dog.
12-10-11 UPDATE
Tye is being fostered by Anne our Many Tears behaviourist to try and help him over his car chasing.
* Tye has now been here a week and is a delight to have around.
* He is very affectionate, very responsive, obedient and great with other dogs.
* Though he hasn't been housetrained he has been completely clean in the house.
* He adores having so many playmates and spends the day racing around the paddock and field.
* Tye's downfall is that he is bad with traffic and when on a lead if a car goes past he gets so excited he turns and tries to bite the handler. However he has been fine with me but that doesn't mean to say he would be with someone else.
* He gets very excited in the car and barks frenetically at anything that goes past without a break so these are issues that need to be addressed.
* Its too early to say whether they are correctable or not.
* Tye adores company and needs a home where he will not be left alone.
* He is a very energetic collie and needs a lot of exercise so a walk twice a day on a lead will not be enough and will leave him frustrated and stressed.
* He needs a minimum of 2 hours off-lead exercise a day and plenty of interaction with his owner.

* Thomas is a dog saved by CARA and he ended up here.
* He is about 2 years old and a poor but very sweet fellow.
* He was found as a stray on the Brecon Beacons (probably dumped for not working sheep).
* He was very hungry when he arrive here and he really cannot believe his luck!
* Three small feeds a day, a heated lamp in his kennel, a spot on to kill all those little critters crawling all over him - he thinks he is in heaven but we all know there is much better place out there for him. A special kind home with love, patience, time and experience of a poor dog is needed.
* He seems to be getting on well with another dog here and may need a home with another dog to help him adjust to living in a home.
* I hope the next update will report a happy wagging dog!
